Pearl Island Bed and Breakfast was named in recognition of the Pearl Island Recreational Corridor, which is home to many outdoor activities like camping, kayaking, canoeing, tubing, hiking and bird watching just to name a few. With the addition of citywide ATV and UTV routes, Brodhead has bolstered its nickname "the city in the middle of everywhere!"
Owners, Casey & Lori Jones, started life as a married couple in 1982 and resided in Brodhead. They moved to Phoenix in 1990 and currently have a home there. They saw a church building for sale on April Fools day in 2017 and bought it before actually seeing it in person. How often in life can someone own an important part of a town's history and be able to re-purpose it into something relevant today?
Their daughter, Denessa, took over as manager in April of 2020. She has a bachelor's degree in business with a minor in accounting and marketing and always seems to have a smile on her face. They offer free WiFi capable of handling 20-30 people without lag and maid service as needed. No smoking. No pets. Very close to downtown, Pearl Island Recreational Corridor, hiking, biking and kayaking and lots of other outdoor activities. There is also have a large common area with games, lounging and a 65 inch TV.
